Cristian Bușoi, secretar de stat în Ministerul Energiei: Energia eoliană a redus presiunea pe importuri și avem prognoze bune și pentru zilele următoare

Cristian Bușoi highlighted the significant role of wind energy in meeting electricity demand, reducing import pressure. The Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant's Reactor 2 will be shut down due to low Danube water levels, impacting energy supply. Bușoi noted that energy imports were lower than expected, and the peak load was around 7,000 MW, slightly below forecasts. The shutdown of Reactor 2 is expected to last at least ten days, with a potential delay in resuming full capacity. The situation is exacerbated by ongoing heatwaves across Europe.
