Cristian Bușoi: Peste 80% dintre condițiile proiectului SMR Doicești nu sunt îndeplinite
Cristian Bușoi, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, announced that Nuclearelectrica found that several conditions for the Final Investment Decision (FID) regarding the Small Modular Reactors (SMR) project at Doicești were not met by September 30. The project, seen as crucial for Romania's energy independence, is a joint venture between Nuclearelectrica and Nova Power & Gas, utilizing NuScale technology. Over 80% of FID conditions remain unmet, including unresolved agreements with NuScale and issues related to natural gas at the site. Nuclearelectrica plans to reduce RoPower's activities and explore other American technologies under the intergovernmental agreement with the U.S.
