Cristian Bușoi: Nu vedem o creștere de prețuri la energie mai mare de 20%
Cristian Bușoi, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, announced that the shutdown of Cernavodă's reactors 1 and 2 will be extended for at least ten more days due to low water levels in the Danube. He indicated that this situation could lead to price increases in the electricity market, but he does not foresee hikes exceeding 20%. Bușoi emphasized the importance of safely restarting the reactors and reassured that there is no current risk of a nuclear incident. The reactors have been offline since late July and mid-August due to severe drought conditions, impacting about 20% of the national electricity supply.
