Cristian Buşoi (Ministerul Energiei): Nu vor fi facturi duble la electricitate pentru acelaşi consum şi, mai mult sau mai puţin, acelaşi furnizor

Cristian Buşoi, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Energy, stated that electricity bills will not double this winter and spring, despite expected increases of 20-22% due to international market pressures. He emphasized that the higher bills seen in July and August were influenced by increased consumption during the heatwave. Buşoi mentioned that simulations indicate potential price hikes if the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant is reconnected to the National Energy System, which is currently offline due to low river flow. However, he noted that there is no timeline for the plant's return to operation.
