Cristian Bușoi face primul anunț, după Comandamentul Energetic: Rămânem în alertă
Cristian Bușoi announced that Romania's energy system is operating normally despite the shutdown of the Cernavodă nuclear plant. Authorities remain vigilant, especially regarding energy supply security. Coal reserves are adequate, and gas plants are functioning well. The energy deficit caused by the nuclear plant's closure is being compensated through imports, particularly during peak hours. A new assessment for restarting the Cernavodă reactors will occur after September 15, with expectations for potential restarts by the end of September. Romania has been in an energy alert since August 1 due to low river levels affecting hydroelectric production.
