Hydroelectrica plays a crucial role during peak hours, but water reserves must be managed for winter. Imports cover the internal consumption gap, especially during peak times, with expected wind energy production reducing import needs. The shutdown of the nuclear plant has created a deficit of 1,200-1,300 MW, but the energy system remains stable. A new evaluation regarding the nuclear reactors will be conducted after mid-September, with cautious optimism for a potential restart by the end of the month.
