Cristian Bușoi avertizează: Curentul s-ar putea scumpi

Extreme temperatures and drought may lead to higher electricity prices in Romania, according to Cristian Bușoi from the Ministry of Energy. Although immediate price increases are not expected, they could occur in a few months as suppliers address current losses. Currently, there are no changes in electricity contracts for consumers, and no suppliers have indicated intentions to raise prices. The Romanian government has declared a national alert due to decreased electricity production caused by drought. Bușoi confirmed that no suppliers plan to unilaterally change existing contracts under force majeure clauses.
