Cristian Bușoi, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, emphasized Romania's commitment to enhancing international cooperation in nuclear energy during the OECD annual ministerial meeting in Paris. He highlighted the significance of nuclear energy for Romania's energy security and decarbonization efforts, mentioning key projects like the modernization of Unit 1 at Cernavodă and the construction of Units 3 and 4. Bușoi called for predictable financing mechanisms and faster European procedures to support new nuclear projects. He also reaffirmed Romania's support for regional energy security, particularly in relation to Ukraine, and discussed the strategic partnership with the U.S. regarding nuclear energy projects.
