Timișoara's mayor, Dominic Fritz, commented that the ruling indicates the sanction does not apply to him personally. USR deputy Alexandru Dimitriu also criticized the reasoning, claiming it contradicts itself. The Court's decision, signed by several judges, confirms the constitutionality of the amendment regarding the termination of mandates in cases of incompatibility or conflict of interest.
