The investigation involves allegations of organized crime and fraud, with prosecutors seizing his bank accounts. Cristela, a witness in the case, expressed concern over the privacy of their family's data and defended her husband against the accusations, claiming he was deceived. The case stems from a complaint regarding a failed financial guarantee of 1.1 million euros. Călin Georgescu is also facing charges in two other criminal cases.
