Crima organizată din America Latină operează în 16 țări europene, printre care și România. Cartelurile sunt implicate în traficul de droguri
Cocaine seizures in Europe have increased over five times in the last decade due to the expansion of Latin American cartels. An investigation by The Guardian reveals the growing influence of these criminal networks, which have established connections with local mafia organizations. The report indicates that at least 12 European countries, including Romania, are now active territories for Colombian, Brazilian, and Mexican cartels. The production of cocaine in Latin America has surged, with Europe becoming a key market due to higher profit margins compared to the U.S. Europol reports that 149 of the 731 dangerous drug trafficking networks in Europe are linked to Latin American organizations.
