Creșterea stocurilor de numerar în UE pe fondul crizelor globale

The circulation of banknotes in the EU is increasing despite the rise of smartphones, driven by concerns over daily life due to various crises. Economists note that while cash transactions are declining, the overall stock of banknotes is growing, influenced by fears stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, wars in Ukraine and Iran, and cyberattacks. European countries recommend households keep cash on hand for emergencies, with the value of cash in circulation rising significantly since 2016. The 50 euro note remains the most popular among users.
