Creștere de peste 9% a sosirilor și înnoptărilor în unitățile de cazare din România

In August 2026, tourist arrivals and overnight stays in accommodation facilities increased by 9% and 10.2%, respectively, compared to August 2025. Romanian tourists accounted for 84.8% of arrivals, while foreign tourists made up 15.2%. The total number of arrivals reached 2.269 million, and overnight stays totaled 5.641 million. The average stay was 2.6 days for Romanians and 2 days for foreigners. In the first eight months of 2026, arrivals totaled 9.756 million, with a slight increase of 0.7% year-on-year. The occupancy rate for accommodation facilities was 29.3% for the same period, down by 1.6 percentage points from the previous year. The highest number of arrivals was recorded in Constanța, Bucharest, and Brașov, with significant contributions from tourists from Germany, Italy, and the USA.
