On Saturday evening, around 1,000 people gathered outside the Central Arrest Facility in Bucharest for the fifth day of protests supporting Călin Georgescu. The number of demonstrators has been increasing daily. The protest remains mostly peaceful, although dozens have been fined by police. Authorities are considering transferring Georgescu to Rahova Prison. Supporters chant slogans like "A sincere wish: a free Romania" and "Călin Georgescu is president." Georgescu will stay in custody for another 26 days due to an ongoing investigation by DIICOT regarding organized crime and serious fraud. Protests also occurred in other cities, including Suceava and Baia Mare.
