Despite the grand inaugurations of over 100 new daycare centers in Romania, many remain closed due to lack of necessary authorizations and staff. Parents are left without childcare options, forcing some to take time off work. In Oltenița, a newly built daycare worth 30 million lei is still locked, awaiting ISU authorization and staff recruitment. Similarly, in Tulucești, another daycare is also stalled, lacking gas, personnel, and health approvals. The rush to inaugurate these facilities was driven by the need to secure structural funds before the deadline.
