Sheep and goat breeders can access funding of up to €50,000 for investments aimed at preventing and combating diseases in farms, as outlined in a public consultation project by the Agency for the Financing of Rural Investments (AFIR). The initiative, DR-21, focuses on enhancing biosecurity in sheep and goat farms amid export limitations. The funding can cover up to 90% of eligible project costs, with a total budget of €9 million for the upcoming session. Eligible expenses include equipment for decontamination and quarantine measures. The project is currently open for public consultation on the AFIR website.
