Concerns arise about the potential for lower-than-expected pension increases in 2027. A proposal aims to recognize the tenure of vice mayors as work experience for pension calculations. Additionally, a delayed law could grant special pensions to mayors and council leaders, potentially reaching up to 18,000 lei for those with multiple mandates. This law has faced multiple delays despite being in effect for seven years.
