Creierul uman este alcătuit din două organe distincte (studiu)

Researchers at Stanford University propose that the human brain consists of two distinct organs, challenging long-held beliefs about its development. This study suggests that the anterior and posterior parts of the brain originate from different progenitor cells, evolving independently for over 550 million years. The anterior part regulates basic functions, while the posterior part is responsible for complex human abilities. This discovery opens new avenues for studying neurodegenerative diseases and developing regenerative therapies. The researchers successfully transformed human pluripotent stem cells into functional motoneurons of the posterior brain, providing a model to better understand and treat devastating diseases.
