Creierul ar putea avea un buton de resetare: Experimentul care a redat amintiri uitate prin 'întinerirea' neuronilor
Swiss researchers have partially rejuvenated neurons related to memory storage in mice, restoring cognitive function. This discovery opens new avenues for neurodegenerative disease research, including Alzheimer's, but has yet to be tested in humans. The study focused on three genes, OSK, which were activated using a viral system to target specific neuron groups. Results showed improved memory performance in treated mice, suggesting that aging neurons may hinder access to memories rather than erase them. While the findings are promising, further research is needed before considering human applications.
