Creditul ipotecar în 2019: câţi bani se împrumutau românii acum 7 ani pentru o casă

In 2019, Romanians borrowed an average of 228,000 lei for mortgages, which increased to 339,000 lei by last year, reflecting a nearly 50% rise. This surge is attributed to the rising costs of housing, compelling buyers to take larger loans. The average mortgage in Bucharest is significantly higher at 460,000 lei, while the national average stands at 400,000 lei. The increase in property prices is driven by higher construction material costs and labor. Additionally, over 57% of homes sold in Romania this year were financed through mortgages.
