Crater and drone fragments identified near village of Gropeni, Braila County (Ministry of Defence)

The Ministry of National Defence confirmed the completion of a reconnaissance mission in Gropeni, Braila County, where drone fragments and a crater were found. The drone, which had an explosive payload, detonated upon impact, causing limited damage to agricultural land. Fragments were collected for further analysis by the Romanian Intelligence Service. An IAR-330 SOCAT helicopter conducted aerial reconnaissance and has since returned to base. The discovery was reported by a citizen via emergency services.
