Cotroceni consultations/Robert Alecu (unaffiliated MPs): The only solution is an early election
Robert Alecu, representing the Group of Unaffiliated MPs, stated that an early election is the only solution to the political crisis in Romania. He emphasized that the current government has been ineffective for over four months and urged the President to call for elections if a majority cannot be secured. Alecu clarified that unaffiliated MPs do not negotiate as a bloc and their support is contingent on the implementation of their governing program. Meanwhile, the President is consulting various political parties to nominate a new prime minister, excluding the S.O.S. Romania delegation.
