Cotroceni consultations/ President Dan to designate new candidate for Prime Minister

President Nicusor Dan has initiated new consultations with political party leaders to select a Prime Minister candidate after the recent failure of Siegfried Muresan to gain parliamentary approval. The consultations are scheduled throughout the day with various parties, reflecting ongoing political instability in Romania. This follows a series of unsuccessful attempts to form a government since the dismissal of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan's cabinet last May. The President aims to resolve the situation without resorting to early elections, as he prepares to designate a new candidate for the Prime Minister's office.
