Costul forței de muncă în România a crescut cu 1,8%
In the second quarter of 2026, Romania's hourly labor costs rose by only 1.8%, significantly lower than the EU average of 3.2%. This growth rate is the same as Luxembourg's, while Bulgaria saw a much higher increase of 9.9%. The Eurostat data indicates a notable slowdown in Romania's labor cost growth compared to previous years, where it was 10.3% in the same quarter of 2025. The non-salary component of labor costs in Romania increased by 1.9%. Overall, the data reflects a significant deceleration in labor cost growth in Romania, contrasting with the EU's stable average.
