In the second quarter of 2026, labor costs for employers rose by 1.8% year-on-year, despite a 0.32% decrease from the previous quarter. The construction sector saw the highest increase at 5.71%, followed by mining and administrative services. Conversely, public administration and education experienced significant declines of 5.79% and 4.70%, respectively. Direct labor costs increased by 1.79%, while indirect costs rose by 1.90%. Compared to the first quarter of 2026, labor costs showed both increases and decreases across various sectors, with the mining industry seeing a notable rise of 6.88%. Overall, direct labor costs fell by 0.33% from the previous quarter, while indirect costs decreased by 0.2%.
