Cosmin Ghiță has been appointed as the future CEO of WANO, starting January 1, 2027, after resigning from Nuclearelectrica. The announcement was made by Bernard Le Guen from EdF on LinkedIn. Ghiță, who has previously served on WANO's Governing Board, aims to enhance nuclear safety standards. WANO, established in 1989, focuses on improving nuclear operational safety globally. Ghiță resigned from Nuclearelectrica in late August 2023, with his resignation effective on October 2, 2023.
