The corvette "Contraamiral August Roman" conducted its first live-fire exercise with onboard artillery since joining the Romanian Naval Forces. On October 6, the ship participated in a training exercise in the Black Sea, performing various operations including search and rescue, anti-aircraft defense, and surface combat. The crew also practiced individual weapon firing. The corvette is nearing full operational capability and will play a key role in ensuring navigation freedom and enhancing naval presence in the Black Sea. Commanded by Captain Sorin Huruială, the ship is equipped for diverse missions, including maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare.
