Prosecutors have arrested a former prefect and five others in a case involving European funds misuse. The investigation began with searches at the prefect's home related to a project managed by GAL Freidorf. The former prefect, Micicoi, claims she has no involvement in the case and resigned under public pressure. She stated that the investigation should not affect the institution she led. The inquiry focuses on the use of EU funds for training courses for disadvantaged individuals, with significant amounts of money involved.
