The Caspian-Black Sea-European Green Energy Corridor project offers an opportunity for Romania to become a regional energy broker. However, vulnerabilities exist, particularly regarding Azerbaijan's limited renewable energy production capacity. The project aims to connect renewable energy sources from the Caspian region to Europe, but Romania's lack of coherent energy diplomacy may hinder its participation. Additionally, the emergence of alternative initiatives like GETT could shift regional energy dynamics, raising concerns about EU's dependency on China for renewable energy technologies.
