A major urban mobility project in Aiud is progressing, with several companies bidding for a contract worth over 30.3 million lei. The initiative includes bike lanes, Park & Ride facilities, and modern sidewalks, aiming to promote non-motorized transport and enhance public transport attractiveness. The project is expected to be completed by November 2026, featuring extensive bike paths, new sidewalks, and a sewage network. Additionally, two Park & Ride locations will be equipped with electric vehicle charging stations and a bike-sharing system. A dedicated command center will manage all digital systems for traffic and safety.
