South Korea has unveiled an ambitious strategy called 'Seven Major SEED' aimed at developing key technologies for economic growth and national security. The plan includes seven major projects in nuclear energy, fusion, quantum computing, space exploration, and biotechnology. One key goal is to commercialize small modular reactors by 2035, alongside advancements in fusion energy and renewable technologies. The strategy also targets a lunar landing by 2030 and the development of a domestic quantum computer with 100 qubits by 2029. Additionally, it aims to commercialize brain-computer interface products by 2035, reflecting a focus on advanced biotechnology and critical supply chains.
