The Romanian Football Federation is reaching out to the first generation of Romanians born abroad to enhance national football performance. This initiative highlights the evolving relationship of the diaspora with their home country, particularly in sports. In the past year, 45 players born outside Romania were called up to national junior teams, reflecting a growing involvement of the diaspora in Romanian football.
