Over 800 illegally cut trees have been discovered by the Forest Guard in the private forest management area Pădurea Bogății, according to Environment Minister Diana Buzoianu. Inspections will expand to other areas. Initial findings revealed nearly 400 illegally cut trees in one canton, with similar results in four additional cantons. Buzoianu criticized the local administrators for downplaying the severity of the situation. The Forest Guard will continue its checks, and legal measures will be taken against the responsible forest ranger. The case will also be reported to law enforcement for further investigation.
