The National Environmental Guard conducted an inspection at the construction site of a new stadium in Timișoara due to local complaints about waste management. The operator was fined 50,000 lei for improper waste handling, with approximately 718.7 tons of construction waste improperly stored on-site. Authorities noted that the storage method increased dust pollution, affecting nearby residents. Although some measures were partially implemented, significant waste remained. The operator is required to manage waste properly and reduce on-site quantities by August 24, with ongoing monitoring by the authorities.
