The Ministry of Transport and ISCTR have initiated inspections on the Bucharest A0 South Ring Road, resulting in significant fines and vehicle immobilizations. The inspections were prompted by numerous complaints regarding overweight vehicles and violations of traffic restrictions. In just two days, 97 vehicles were checked, leading to 28 immobilizations and fines totaling 589,000 lei. Secretary of State Horațiu Cosma emphasized the importance of adhering to regulations to protect infrastructure and ensure road safety. He also called for urgent repairs on the highway, attributing some issues to construction deficiencies rather than just overweight traffic.
