Recent inspections in Cluj revealed that some state care centers for children failed to provide necessary items and funds. Inspectors evaluated 28 facilities, finding that many did not meet legal requirements for personal expenses and provisions for children with disabilities. The inspections, conducted from June to August 2026, resulted in 78 corrective measures, with only two leading to penalties. Issues included inadequate menus and cleanliness, as well as discrepancies in licensing. The report highlighted the need for compliance with minimum financial support and proper care standards for children in these facilities.
