The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) is launching Operation F.O.C.U.S., a nationwide control initiative targeting 180 currency exchange offices. This operation aims to assess compliance with fiscal obligations and prevent tax evasion. Inspectors will focus on the fiscalization of currency exchange operations, the use of electronic cash registers, and the accuracy of financial records. The initiative follows a pilot project that revealed significant non-compliance among selected operators. The goal is to enhance fiscal compliance and ensure fair competition among businesses adhering to legal standards. Results will be announced after the completion of the inspections.
