The ANAF is conducting simultaneous checks at 180 currency exchange offices across Romania as part of Operation F.O.C.U.S. The focus is on ensuring compliance with fiscal regulations and proper use of electronic cash registers. This nationwide initiative follows a pilot project that revealed significant non-compliance among selected operators. Inspectors will assess fiscal obligations, transaction accuracy, and adherence to legal requirements. The operation aims to enhance fiscal compliance and promote fair competition in the currency exchange sector. Results will be shared after the completion of the checks.
