Contract semnat pentru stadionul de 140 de milioane de euro din Timișoara. Simonis atacă Guvernul: „Ne dă voie să construim pe banii noștri”
The President of Timiș County Council, Alfred Simonis, announced the signing of a contract for the design and construction of the new "Dan Păltinișanu" Stadium, estimated at 140 million euros. He criticized the government and local politicians for attempting to halt the project. The stadium will have around 32,000 seats, making it the second largest in Romania. Timiș County will allocate at least 125 million lei for the investment, with funding continuing until the National Investment Company can take over in 2028. Simonis accused local politicians of trying to stop the stadium and claimed they now seek credit for the project. The contract follows a lengthy bidding process and legal disputes, with the new stadium set to be built on the site of the demolished old one.
