Contract semnat de UM Cugir pentru achiziţia de utilaje speciale destinate fabricaţiei muniţiei de tip NATO

Cugir Mechanical Plant has signed a €54 million contract for modernizing its industrial infrastructure and increasing NATO ammunition production capacity. The project aims to enhance working conditions and environmental responsibility while diversifying the product range. The contract includes special machinery for producing NATO caliber 12.7x99 mm ammunition, with a production capacity of at least 80 cartridges per minute. This initiative is part of a larger strategic investment exceeding 552 million lei, structured in four phases, with significant funding from the Romanian government and the company's own budget. The plant, established in 1799, has undergone various transformations over the years.
