Electricity consumption decreased by 4% in the first eight months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, with a notable 11.3% drop in household usage. The total final electricity consumption was 32.023 billion kWh, while public lighting saw a 14.2% reduction. Electricity exports increased to 10.514 billion kWh, and total electricity production rose to 34.342 billion kWh. However, primary energy resources fell by 6.3%, totaling 20.938 million tons of oil equivalent. Domestic production also declined by 4.2%, while imports decreased by 8.4%.
