Consumul de alcool a fost interzis în gările din Germania / ”Au devenit un refugiu pentru persoanele fără adăpost”

Starting Thursday, alcohol consumption is banned in about 5,700 train stations across Germany to enhance safety and cleanliness. Deutsche Bahn (DB) aims to address issues related to homelessness and addiction in these areas. Previous experiences showed that the ban reduced conflicts and litter, creating a more pleasant environment for travelers and staff. A recent survey indicated that nearly 80% of respondents supported the ban. Security personnel will actively address violations, with the possibility of permanent expulsion for repeat offenders. Alcohol consumption remains allowed in public dining areas and sealed containers can be transported in bags.
