Consumul continuă să scadă în România. Comerțul înregistrează al 13-lea declin anual consecutiv

In Romania, retail sales continue to decline, marking the 13th consecutive month of annual decrease. Although there was a slight increase in July compared to June, overall consumption remains lower than last year. The National Institute of Statistics reports a 6.1% drop in retail sales for July 2026 compared to July 2025. The first seven months of 2026 show a 5.8% decrease in retail trade. Sales of non-food products have seen the largest decline, while fuel sales also dropped. Despite a minor monthly recovery, the overall trend indicates a prolonged period of reduced consumer spending.
