The Oradea Local Council has approved the construction of a new stadium with nearly 16,300 seats, with a project cost exceeding 327 million lei. Mayor Florin Birta indicated that construction could start next spring, funded by the city. The council also approved an amendment to the co-financing agreement with the National Investment Company, ensuring local budget coverage for 25% of construction costs. The design phase is expected to take six months, with project completion anticipated by March.
