Consolidarea apărării României după incidentele cu drone - Oana Țoiu, despre demersurile pentru creșterea implicării NATO la Marea Neagră
Romania is enhancing NATO's presence and response capabilities in the Black Sea due to recent security threats and drone incidents. Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu emphasized the acceleration of diplomatic and military efforts to involve allies more actively. Romania has long sought increased security in the region, which is now a priority in the EU's Security Strategy. Discussions have included a dedicated NATO meeting on the Black Sea, with contributions from allies like Turkey. The needs of Romania are recognized in NATO's new capability plan, with Spain contributing over 200 troops and F-18 aircraft to bolster security. This collaboration has already led to successful interceptions of drones.
