Consiliul General al Primăriei Capitalei a votat pentru intrarea în insolvență a STB: Compania a acumulat datorii uriașe

The Bucharest City Council has voted to mandate members to initiate insolvency proceedings for the Bucharest Transport Company (STB). Mayor Ciprian Ciucu claims STB has been in a 'declared insolvency' since 2020, with debts threatening the city's budget. GRAMPET Group has offered to forgive 90% of its claims against STB, contingent on certain conditions. Ciucu highlights mismanagement and political interference as key issues, stating that STB is one of the least efficient public transport operators in Romania. He argues that insolvency is necessary for financial restructuring and to protect employee salaries.
