Consiliul general al Capitalei a abrogat acordarea voucherului Materna pentru femeile gravide

The Bucharest General Council has voted to abolish the Materna Voucher program, which provided financial support to pregnant women. This decision was made due to budget constraints and the availability of free prenatal services through the national health insurance system. Existing rights under the previous program will remain valid, but the program's annual costs of approximately 24 million lei are no longer sustainable. The council justified the abolition by highlighting that essential medical services for pregnant women are already covered by the national health insurance, regardless of their insurance status.
