Additionally, Covalact and Dorna Lactate lost their appeals against similar sanctions. All three companies are owned by Lactalis, a leading dairy group in Romania. The fines were part of an investigation into potential price-fixing in the butter market. The Competition Council emphasized the importance of cooperation during inspections, which are authorized to gather necessary information on anti-competitive practices.
