Agrana companies received a fine of 42.18 million lei, while Lucsor Impex was fined 9.91 million lei. The investigation revealed that these companies coordinated to set sugar prices above competitive levels. Lucsor Impex plans to contest the decision, claiming the accusations lack sufficient evidence and asserting its independent distributor status. The Competition Council emphasizes that such agreements are illegal and detrimental to market competition.
