Nikolai Patrushev, an advisor to President Putin, stated that Russia would use its full military capabilities against Poland. This statement followed Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski's claim that NATO would quickly defeat Russia if attacked. Patrushev criticized Sikorski's assessment of Russia's military strength and noted that Russian forces have not fully utilized their potential in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Poland has been a strong supporter of Ukraine since the Russian invasion began in February 2022.
